Conrad Radzoff (Ferdy Mayne) was the biggest name in horror movies for decades until, one day, he died of a heart attack. Determined to celebrate his life, and death, the members of a local horror film society steal his freshly buried corpse and decide to host a party, in his honor, at their old and lavish mansion. Unaware that Radzoff’s interest in horror extended beyond the silver screen and into the black arts, his corpse is soon re-animated and he begins exacting a bloody revenge against those who disturbed his final resting place.

Slyly combining 80's slasher tropes with an insightful and self reflective look at the meaning of horror movies and death itself, Norman Thaddeus Vane’s "FRIGHTMARE" (originally known as "THE HORROR STAR") is a quick witted and suspenseful tribute to classic horror cinema. With captivating cinematography by Joel King (JUST BEFORE DAWN) and supporting performances from Jeffrey Combs ("RE-ANIMATOR"), Luca Bercovici and Leon Askin, "FRIGHTMARE" has been newly restored from its original camera negative and is coming to Blu-ray for the very first time!

Shown above is both sides of the reversible cover art.

At a dig in rural Mexico, a British industrialist accidentally unleashes an ancient evil: a severed hand, possessed by a vengeful demon, that attacks, kills and takes over the hand and mind of anyone who interferes with its ruthless quest for violence. Determined to stop the bloodshed, the wife of the industrialist (Samantha Eggar) joins forces with a renegade priest (Stuart Whitman), but will they be able to conquer the evil hand before the forces of hell overtake them?

Directed by Alfredo Zacarias ("THE BEES"), "DEMONOID" is a classic slice of early 80s horror sleaze, full of outrageous and violent deaths, ludicrous plot twists and a pounding musical score. Presented here is the first official DVD and Blu-ray release of "DEMONOID" in both its original US version as well as its radically re-edited international cut, known as "MACABRA," newly restored from the original negatives!

'Nightmares in a Damaged Brain' Coming to Blu-ray and DVD from 88 Films

If you were terrified by "Dawn of the Dead" & "Friday the 13th" you must see Nightmare

Nightmares in a Damaged Brain Blu-ray
Nightmares in a Damaged Brain Blu-ray

***UPDATED - Sept. 24th ***

88 Films posted an update on their upcoming release.

"Our first announcement is actually an apology. We have had to put Nightmare in a Damaged Brain back a few weeks as we have been trying to obtain a sample of a newly created answer print scan.

This finally came through today and it looks fantastic so we've decided to go ahead and make a NEW HD Master. This will be done very soon and we will be able to give a firm final release date in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for your patience and we really hope you like the new transfer."

Few slasher classics have proven to be more controversial than Romano Scavolini's sicko slice 'em up epic horror film, "Nightmares in a Damaged Brain!"

Finally unleashed in the UK, uncut and uncensored, for the first time since VHS (back when the distributor of this bloodthirsty "Halloween" cash-in was imprisoned for 18 months just for daring to unleash it!), "Nightmares in a Damaged Brain" depicts the slow mental burn down of an escaped psychopath as he hacks his way through New York's 42nd Street, horny teenagers and random suburban housewives! But there is more to his rampage than meets the eye, as a shocking final twist reveals!

Featuring enough Freudian-fermentation to appease horror academics, and packing in more plasma splashed set pieces than any of its rivals, "Nightmares in a Damaged Brain" is advised only for the strongest of stomachs! One thing is for sure though - this is the Slasher Classic you horror fans have all been craving for, remastered and restored from the original in-camera elements!

"Nightmares in a Damaged Brain" is part of 88 Films 'Slasher Classics Collection' and is scheduled to be released on October 19, 2015.
